Day 44 Pictures Monday 7/8/13 – North Pole AK to Fairbanks AK (15 miles)

THE FINAL DAY! It was cool and windy as we rolled into the city of Fairbanks, with rain knocking on the door. We visited the Santa Claus House in North Pole, but apparently, Santa takes Sundays and Mondays off, so he missed out on his opportunity to have his photo snapped with us in his lap. In Fairbanks, we got a room at the Super 8 and went out to the airport to rent a vehicle for the remainder of our Alaska Holiday. Tomorrow, we take the bike in to the local bike shop and box it up for shipping home. How strange not to get back on the bike and ride again. Stay tuned to our blog for additional photos and stories from our tour of Alaska!

  1. Congratulations! Fred and I have had so much fun following your adventure. Thanks for taking us along on the ride. Safe travels home!

  2. Jimmy and Linda – Thanks so much for sharing your adventure with the rest of us. I totally enjoyed your trip, and Jimmy regarding your expression in the picture on top row 3rd picture is clearly the look of a man who hasn’t slept well for 44 days. It has all the contortion elements of one suffering from severe sleep deprivation. Linda I think from your expression and smile you fared much better than Jimmy.

  3. Congratulations on a ride well taken! I have enjoyed following your adventures so far. I was in Alaska in 1980 so I am looking forward to seeing your pictures.
