Lots of big climbs and big descents today on the way to Cochrane. The rains held off for a day of nice riding. Long glide down into Cochrane on the Bow River.

How’s the stretch holding up? On previous trips did you have problems with drive trains, brakes going out etc.?
You are in some mighty pretty country there? I know you have to be having fun.

It was just time to change out the drive train after 4000 miles or so. The large chain ring had some bent and worn teeth, the chain had several repairs on it already. We didn’t want to get up to the Alaska Highway and have a breakdown, so we decided to get that all replaced and start fresh.
Having a blast. Rain and wind have hampered our forward progress, though, up here in Canada. Because of our work deadline, we might have to get a vehicle and zoom up the road a bit to make sure we can get to Alaska and back to Colorado on time.

Yea, I know what you mean about staying on schedule, you don’t want to miss out on comet Ison in November. ha ha.
You certainly don’t want a break down when you are a long way from civilization, best to head that off will new parts.
