Today I must climb over the Chugach Mtn Range because Anchorage is on the other side!
Passed several glaciers today; this one is Tazlina Glacier
This is Eureka Summit, the high point for the Glen Hwy. Man! It was windy and COLD!
This is Tahneta Pass up ahead. Beyond, it's mostly downhill to Anchorage!
This is Nelchina Glacier
The "Lion's Head." Son Michael and I climbed this back in '94 and overlooked the Matanuska Glacier below (barely visible here)
Stopped for the night at Sheep Mtn Lodge, 96 miles for the day. Tomorrow, Anchorage is only 113 miles!
